How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Cea transfers the fixed-mesh analytic p rate to the energy error
Statement
Assume Countable Choice. On a fixed finite matching affine tensor-box mesh, let with its standard norm, let , and let be a bounded linear functional on . Let solve for all , and let be its conforming Galerkin solution in the common-degree trace-matching tensor space of Variable-degree conforming hp spaces on matching affine meshes. If the analytic hypotheses of Analytic data converge exponentially under fixed-mesh p refinement hold with constants and , then
This is the fixed-mesh analytic branch; it does not assert an h-dependent estimate or an ordinary Sobolev p-rate on simplices.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: Countable Choice; the finite matching affine tensor mesh; as in the Statement; integer ; and the analytic derivative bound and of the fixed-mesh projector theorem.
Matching variable-degree polynomial traces give an H1 function: the trace-matching tensor space is a finite-dimensional subspace of .
Analytic data converge exponentially under fixed-mesh p refinement: there is a trace-matching with .
Céa quasi-optimality for coercive conforming Galerkin problems: under Countable Choice, a bounded coercive form on a Hilbert space and a finite-dimensional conforming subspace have a Galerkin solution satisfying .
For the form in the Statement, Cauchy–Schwarz gives and .
Proof
By [F1], is finite-dimensional and contained in the Hilbert space . The form in [A1] is bounded with and coercive with . The exact solution and bounded functional are among the hypotheses in Given, so [F3] applies and yields . Its only axiom beyond classical real analysis is Countable Choice, stated in Given.
The approximant in [F2] belongs to , so the infimum in step 1.1 is no greater than . Substituting its bound from [F2] proves the stated energy estimate.

26 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
