How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Statement refuted

Facts & Assumptions
Given: Countable Choice, , , , and the one-dimensional state space .
Countable Choice is assumed by the finite Floquet normal-form result (The Axiom of Countable Choice (), Finite Floquet unitary normal form).
Finite Floquet unitary normal form defines a quasienergy as a real eigenvalue of a chosen Hermitian logarithm of , with representatives taken modulo .
The finite matrix exponential is defined by Finite-dimensional matrix exponential, and equality of scalar exponential values is characterized by , and exactly when .
Norm Dyson series and uniqueness supplies the unique propagator for the constant zero Hamiltonian.
Counterexample
Given: [A1], [F1]–[F3], , , and .
Take the constant zero Hamiltonian on . Its propagator is by [F3]. For each integer , the Hermitian scalar satisfies , so each is a valid logarithm of the same monodromy.
In dimension one the only eigenvalue of , and hence its least quasienergy representative, is . It varies with , while all representatives have the same class modulo by [F1, F2]. Therefore the period unitary determines a quasienergy class but no branch-independent least real quasienergy.
