How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Height plus quotient dimension equals ambient dimension in an affine domain
Statement
Assume the Axiom of Choice. Let be a field, let be a finite-type -domain, and let . Then
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The Axiom of Choice (The Axiom of Choice), a field , a finite-type -domain , and a prime ideal .
Under Choice, the affine-domain dimension formula identifies (The dimension formula for affine domains).
For affine domains, dimension equals transcendence degree of the fraction field (Affine-domain dimension equals transcendence degree).
Proof
Replace the two transcendence degrees in [L1] using [L2], once for and once for the quotient domain .
The result is exactly .
