How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Finite-order invariant operator-basis quotient
Definition
Fix a finite jet order , maximum polynomial field degree , engineering weight , finite field-species list, coefficient field , and complex reductive affine algebraic group with the finite-dimensional rational action specified on the jet generators, including the declared spacetime-index symmetries. Let be the finite-dimensional space of all local polynomials of weight and degree at most , before imposing -invariance, and let be its invariant scalar subspace. An admitted raw relation space is a specified -stable linear subspace , given by explicit linear identities among the chosen polynomials. Its invariant part is . Any action, boundary, or observable interpretation of the selected identities is extra mathematical data and must be stated with the result that verifies it.
The finite-order invariant operator-basis quotient is
Two invariant operators represent the same class exactly when their difference lies in . An operator basis is any finite list of representatives in of a vector-space basis of . The quotient records precisely the declared relation space; it does not assert that every relation relevant to an arbitrary EFT, observable, or infinite operator tower has been included.
