How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Free, wired, and subsequential infinite-volume FK states on the square lattice
Definition
Let be the nearest-neighbor edge set of , and let . Let contain the edges with both endpoints in , and let be the vertices of adjacent to a vertex outside it. Fix and . For each boundary partition on , let be the finite FK law on with mass proportional to for , where counts components after wiring the partition classes and extend its configurations to by setting all edges outside closed.
An infinite-volume FK state at is any probability measure on that is a cylinder-probability limit of such extended finite-volume laws along a sequence and boundary partitions . Cylinder-probability convergence means convergence of the probability of every assignment on every finite set of edges. When they exist, the free FK state and wired FK state are the cylinder limits for the identity and one-class partitions, respectively, at every . Their existence and uniqueness as probability-measure cylinder limits are established by a later A-page lemma under its stated measure-extension hypothesis. For either state , , define , where means that the open cluster of the origin is not contained in any finite box, and define
No equality of free and wired states at is part of this definition.
