How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Finite spin-half tensor chains
Definition
Let be an integer. The finite spin-half tensor chain is the complex inner-product space . On each factor use the inner product which is linear in its first argument, and let and . By the finite tensor-product basis theorem, for the words form a basis of . For and , define This is a positive-definite inner product because , and it makes the tensor words orthonormal. Expanding each factor in gives its elementary-tensor product formula Let be the Pauli matrices of the finite-spin matrix supplier, and for define For , define the adjacent swap on elementary tensors by Write where on the adjacent two factors. Also put for . If , these bond-indexed families are empty.
This is a mathematical definition of finite-dimensional tensor spaces and operators; it makes no physical claim about a material, a particle species, or an adopted statistics sector.

Remarks
The convention is dimensionless. If a later model interprets angular momentum in SI units, it uses with in joule-seconds; that physical interpretation is not part of this mathematical definition.
