How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Finite-lattice polynomial Hamiltonian data

Definition

Assume Countable Choice (The Axiom of Countable Choice (ACω)). A finite-mode regulator in this item is a fixed finite nonempty label set J with N:=∣J∣≥1, a fixed enumeration of J by {1,…,N}, and the real coordinate vector q=(q1,…,qN)∈RN. The labels may name sites of a finite lattice or finitely many modes; their geometry enters only through the chosen polynomial below. No limit in N is part of this definition.

Choose real coefficients a1,…,aN>0, constants c>0 and C0≥0, and a real polynomial V∈R[q1,…,qN] such that V(q)≥c∣q∣2−C0(q∈RN). Let HN:=L2(RN,dq;C), with vectors identified up to almost everywhere equality and inner product ⟨u,v⟩:=∫RNu(q)v(q)‾ dq, linear in the first variable. Under Countable Choice this is a complex Hilbert space by L2 with the integral pairing is a Hilbert space. Let D0:=Cc∞(RN;C), the smooth compactly supported complex-valued functions. The associated polynomial differential expression is the map h0:D0→HN,h0u:=−∑j=1Naj∂j2u+Vu. It is well defined because each derivative of u and the product Vu are smooth and compactly supported. Set W:=V+C0+1, so W(q)≥1+c∣q∣2. This definition specifies finite mathematical data and a differential expression; it does not choose a self-adjoint operator domain or assert a continuum or infinite-volume limit.
