How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Weak operator-valued tempered distribution on a common domain

Definition

Let S=S(R4;C) with its Schwartz topology, let H be a complex Hilbert space, and let D⊆H be a dense complex linear subspace. Use the inner product linear in its first argument and conjugate-linear in its second, as in Real and complex inner-product spaces and their induced length. A weak operator-valued tempered distribution on the common domain D is a complex-linear map Φ:S⟶Lin⁡(D), where Lin⁡(D) is the vector space of linear maps D→D, such that for every u,v∈D the scalar map f⟼(Φ(f)u,v)H is a continuous complex-linear functional on S, hence an element of S′=S′(R4) by Tempered distribution. In particular, every smeared map preserves the same domain D. This definition is weak in the matrix-coefficient sense; it does not define point values Φ(x), operators on all of H, or self-adjoint closures.
