How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Non-Abelian gauge data and bundle sectors
Definition
Assume the axiom of countable choice . Let be a finite-dimensional, Hausdorff, second-countable smooth manifold without boundary. A non-Abelian gauge datum on consists of the following specified objects.
First choose a finite-dimensional real Lie group that is compact in its manifold topology (every open cover has a finite subcover) and noncommutative (there are with ). The actual group , including its global form, is part of the datum. Its Lie algebra is with the bracket transported from left-invariant smooth vector fields.
Choose a smooth right principal -bundle : the projection and right action are smooth, and the action is free and transitive on each fibre. There is an open cover of with a family of equivariant diffeomorphisms for , each over . Explicitly, , and if then for every .
Choose a specified set of representation labels and, for each , a finite-dimensional complex vector space , a positive-definite Hermitian form , and a smooth group homomorphism . Here is the group of complex-linear isometries of , and a representation is the corresponding finite-dimensional group action. Its associated vector bundle is the quotient with relation .
Two smooth right principal -bundles over are isomorphic over when a smooth diffeomorphism between their total spaces covers and commutes with the right -actions. To represent their isomorphism types by sets, encode a bundle by the ordered tuple of its total-space set, topology, maximal smooth atlas, projection, and right action; and are fixed parameters. Write when is such a bundle code isomorphic to . In the cumulative hierarchy , , and at limit ordinals; is the least ordinal with . Let be the least rank of a code , and define the bundle sector of to be its set code The given bundle supplies a code, so minimizing the attained ranks at most its rank defines . Minimum-rank selection and Separation in make a nonempty set. Isomorphic bundles have the same code, and equality of codes gives a common representative and hence a bundle isomorphism. This construction requires no representative choice and applies to every bundle allowed above. The datum specifies a set of admitted bundle-sector codes and requires ; a model may take . References to the isomorphism class as a sector use this set code. The Lie algebra alone does not replace the chosen group or sector. This definition does not choose a connection, an action functional, or a quantum theory.
