How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
The isotropic Schwarzschild end has energy Mc squared
A fixed-chart calculation on the standard isotropic Schwarzschild slice data; no positive-mass theorem or empirical statement is asserted.
Example
Let be a mass in kilograms and put , a length. On the end , take the standard isotropic Schwarzschild slice data Here “time-symmetric” means precisely . With the fixed Cartesian end chart and unit asymptotic time normalization , the ADM energy is joules.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The stated isotropic Schwarzschild initial data with , , and the fixed-chart ADM convention.
A fixed-chart asymptotically Euclidean end has , , and the ADM energy is the limit of the specified surface integral multiplied by (A specified asymptotically Euclidean ADM end).
If and with , then the fixed-chart ADM limit exists and equals (ADM energy of a conformally flat end).
, , on , and the supplied initial data have ; the metric form is the standard isotropic Schwarzschild slice representation recorded in the cited full texts.
Verification
Given: [F1], [F2], [A1], and the data in the Example.
The remainder in is , so . Also on and satisfies . Hence the end meets the hypotheses of [F1] and [F2].
By [F2], . Substituting gives . The result is the exact model calculation for this fixed end and time normalization.
Remarks
The source texts use geometric units in the surface formula; the factor restores SI energy units. This calculation does not prove a positivity theorem.
