How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
ADM energy of a conformally flat end
A fixed-chart calculation for a conformally flat end; no constraint equation, positivity result, or empirical claim is inferred.
Statement
On a fixed-chart end with the ADM convention stated below, let satisfy , where has units of metres and . Set and choose any symmetric tensor . Then the ADM limit exists in the specified chart and

Facts & Assumptions
Given: The fixed Cartesian end and ADM convention of A specified asymptotically Euclidean ADM end, a smooth positive with , and .
On the fixed chart, is times the limit of , where is induced by and a local parametrization has density ; controls Cartesian derivatives of order by uniformly in angle; and have the SI units stated in the definition (A specified asymptotically Euclidean ADM end).
is a real length parameter, is strictly positive on , and the remainder bounds are uniform in angle, as required by the Statement.
Proof
Given: [F1], [A1], and the conformally flat metric in the Statement.
Set . Derivatives of satisfy for , since each derivative is homogeneous of degree and bounded on the unit sphere. Together with , this gives ; the product rule gives . Also , so the binomial expansion yields . Since , is positive definite and , and the supplied symmetric is with decay. Thus satisfies the definition of a fixed-chart end with and . Now gives and , hence . Contracting with on replaces by .
The radial derivative bounds in [F1] and give and , uniformly in angle. Thus , so step 1.1's contracted integrand is , uniformly on .
Parameterize the complement of the poles and one meridian in by , with coordinates and . Its coordinate tangent vectors are and , so the induced-metric Gram matrix is , with determinant . The area-measure definition in [F1] therefore gives . The omitted poles and meridian have area zero, so integrating the uniform expansion in step 2.1 over this chart yields , since . This proves the limit exists.
Multiplying the limit in step 3.1 by from [F1] gives . The dimensions are , as specified in [F1].
Remarks
The proof uses the fixed chart and the exact stated falloff. It proves neither coordinate invariance for broader asymptotic classes nor a positivity theorem.
