How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Worked example B03 — nonretarded one-mode correlator
Example
For the one-mode oscillator in One-mode oscillator, Feynman boundary prescription, and retarded contrast, choose , where is in . Then the normalized Feynman correlator is , while the explicitly defined kernel is zero. This compares the two functions in the stated one-mode model and makes no claim about a response to an external source.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: , in , , and the fixed-mode definitions of the Feynman correlator and retarded kernel.
The Axiom of Countable Choice (): is assumed by the oscillator supplier.
QFT example units, metric, gauge, and pairing conventions: is dimensionless, and these formulas carry no spatial-locality claim.
Verification
Since , the oscillator formula gives . The units are seconds on both sides.
Since , the support indicator in is zero, so . Thus the correlator is nonzero at negative time while the retarded response vanishes there.
This distinguishes the two kernels in this single oscillator mode only; it proves no spatial signal property or interacting-field statement.
