How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Explicit N=2 shortened rest fiber at central-charge saturation

Example

Let M>0 and z∈C satisfy ∣z∣=M, and set ω=z/∣z∣. On H=Λ∗C2 with the orthonormal occupation basis and fermionic operators a1,a2 defined by a1∣n1,n2⟩=n1∣0,n2⟩, a2∣n1,n2⟩=(−1)n1n2∣n1,0⟩, set P0=MI, Pj=0, Z12=z, Z21=−z, and

Q11=2Ma1,Q21=2Ma2,Q22=ω2Ma1∗,Q12=−ω2Ma2∗,

with every barred charge the actual Hilbert adjoint and parity (−1)n1+n2. These operators give a four-dimensional positive rest fiber with M=∣z∣. The two combinations Q11−ω(Q22)∗ and Q21+ω(Q12)∗ vanish identically. Use natural units ℏ=c=1, so M and z have mass dimension one and each displayed supercharge has mass dimension one-half. This is a finite-dimensional algebra representation, not a claim about a normalizable sharp-momentum subspace in a full spacetime representation.

Facts & Assumptions

Given: M>0, z∈C with ∣z∣=M, ω=z/∣z∣, the finite two-mode Fock space, its CAR operators, and the N=2 mostly-plus rest algebra.

[F1]

Four-dimensional real extended super-Poincare algebra: at rest, {QαI,(QβJ)∗}=2MδαβδIJI, {QαI,QβJ}=2ϵαβZIJ, and ϵ12=1.

Verification

Given: [F1], [F4] and the four basis vectors in the Example.

1.1givenF1F4algebra

The displayed occupation rules and their adjoints give the two-mode CAR on each of the four basis vectors: for equal mode labels, creation followed by annihilation and annihilation followed by creation are the projections onto occupied and empty states, whose sum is the identity; for distinct labels, the two orders of changing the different occupations have opposite signs from the factor (−1)n1. Repeated creation or annihilation is zero. Therefore {ai,aj∗}=δijI and {ai,aj}={ai∗,aj∗}=0. The same-mode mixed charges in the rest relation now give 2MI, while every mismatched label is either a distinct-mode anticommutator or a repeated annihilator/creator and is zero. This verifies the mixed relation in [F1].

2.1F1step 1.1algebra

Since ∣z∣=M>0, the definition ω=z/∣z∣ gives z=Mω and direct scalar arithmetic gives ωωˉ=zzˉ/M2=∣z∣2/M2=1 and ωˉz=M. For the same-flavor pairs, two annihilators or two creators anticommute by step 1.1, so their central bracket is zero. The two nonzero distinct-flavor brackets are {Q11,Q22}=2Mω{a1,a1∗}=2zI and {Q21,Q12}=−2Mω{a2,a2∗}=−2zI. Every other distinct-flavor pair is either a distinct-mode anticommutator or a square of one creation/annihilation operator, and so has zero anticommutator. These are exactly 2ϵαβZIJ with ϵ12=1 and antisymmetric Z; taking Hilbert adjoints gives the conjugate barred relations.

3.1step 1.1step 2.1algebra∎

Since (Q22)∗=ωˉ2Ma1 and (Q12)∗=−ωˉ2Ma2, direct substitution and ωωˉ=1 give Q11−ω(Q22)∗=0 and Q21+ω(Q12)∗=0. Thus M=∣z∣ and both shortening combinations vanish by direct finite matrix calculation; no general central-charge theorem or Choice hypothesis is used. The Hilbert space has two even and two odd basis vectors, and all domains equal the full finite-dimensional space.
