How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Chiral covariance and generator reference rescaling

Example

Assume Countable Choice (ACω) as defined in The Axiom of Countable Choice (ACω). Let u be a length coordinate measured in metres, let κ>0 have units of inverse metres, and let b>0 be dimensionless; set u′=u/b and κ′=bκ. Write β=2π/κ and β′=2π/κ′ for the corresponding strip widths, measured in metres. Here “generator frequency” means only the angular Fourier-dual parameter: for the convention g^(ω)=∫g(u)e−iωu du, ω has units of inverse metres and is not the eigenvalue of a separately asserted operator generator. To express it using an energy parameter, take E>0 in joules and a fixed formal σ>0 in joule-metres, and define ω=E/σ; no physical energy or clock identification is assumed. For a primed parameter E′>0 in joules define ω′=E′/σ. Matching the phase means ω′u′=ωu for every u∈R, and holds exactly when E′=bE, equivalently ω′=bω. For g′∈Cc∞(R;C) define the transformed current by j′(g′)=jκ(g′(⋅/b)). If jκ is represented by a regular density, changing variables u=bu′ in this test pairing gives j′(u′)=bjκ(bu′); the same formula defines the density transformation distributionally. For φ′∈Cc∞(R;C), the corresponding two-point test pairing transforms as ⟨C′,φ′⟩=⟨Cκ,bφ′(⋅/b)⟩, equivalently C′=b2Cκ(b ⋅) as a distribution. Thus the covariance retains its chiral form, the spectrum acquires the factor b, and β′ω′=βω, so the detailed-balance exponent is unchanged. This is a coordinate and parameter identity within the mathematical model; no physical clock normalization or temperature assignment is included.

Facts & Assumptions

Given: Countable Choice and the current and spectrum of Positive chiral current and exponential test-coordinate model and Single-pole thermal contour and exact detailed balance. Let b>0 be dimensionless, let κ>0 have units of inverse length, let u have units of length, and let σ>0 be a fixed formal scale with units of energy times length. For E>0, set ω=E/σ, which has units of inverse length; no physical identification of σ is assumed here.

[F1]

Positive chiral current and exponential test-coordinate model defines the current by compact test smearing and gives covariance Cκ(s)=−(κ2/16π)csch⁡2(κ(s−i0)/2).

[F2]

Single-pole thermal contour and exact detailed balance gives Sκ(ω)=ω/[2(e2πω/κ−1)] and Sκ(−ω)=e2πω/κSκ(ω) for ω>0.

[F3]

Under the Fourier kernel e−iωu, rescaling u′=u/b leaves the phase invariant exactly when ω′=bω. The covariance pairing in the Example follows from the two density factors, each transforming by b.

[A1]

Assume Countable Choice The Axiom of Countable Choice (ACω), retaining the hypothesis of both tested-current and spectrum suppliers.

Verification

1.1givenA1F1algebra

Under [A1], change the length-flow coordinate to u′=u/b and define the primed smeared current by j′(g′)=jκ(g′(⋅/b)) for g′∈Cc∞(R). Since u=bu′, the current density transforms as j′(u′)=bjκ(bu′) in the distributional sense, so its two-point covariance is C′(s′)=b2Cκ(bs′). Substituting [F1] and using b>0 to preserve the lower-boundary orientation gives C′(s′)=Cbκ(s′).

2.1givenF2step 1.1algebra∎

Put κ′=bκ and ω′=bω. Then [F2] gives Sκ′(ω′)=bω2(e2πbω/(bκ)−1)=bSκ(ω), and therefore Sκ′(−ω′)/Sκ′(ω′)=e2πω/κ. For any E′>0 define ω′=E′/σ. Phase preservation for every u∈R is the identity E′u/(bσ)=Eu/σ; comparing coefficients of u and using b,σ>0 gives E′/b=E, hence E′=bE. Conversely, E′=bE gives E′u′/σ=(bE)(u/b)/σ=Eu/σ for every u, and therefore ω′=bω. Equivalently, the length-flow strip width βℓ=2π/κ rescales to βℓ′=βℓ/b, while βℓ′ω′=βℓω.

Remarks

This is a coordinate and parameter identity within the specified one-dimensional model. The inverse-length generator frequency and the strip width are reference-normalized quantities; no invariant physical energy or black-hole temperature is inferred without a separate physical clock and unit assignment.
