How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
An explicit null-dust tensor without a timelike Landau frame
Example
Take with Minkowski metric and choose the time orientation . By Smooth time-oriented Lorentzian four-manifolds: the geometric objects of the model, a nonzero causal vector is future-directed exactly when , which here is equivalent to . Let , so and ; thus is future-directed null. Let and define the symmetric tensor . A Landau frame for this tensor means a future unit timelike vector for which the projected energy flux vanishes. The current frame convention of Observer projections, pointwise Eckart vector and local C¹ Landau field gives the unique stress decomposition; when , contracting it with gives This explicit tensor has no Landau frame.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: Minkowski space with signature ; the future-directed null vector ; ; and an arbitrary candidate future unit timelike vector .
The geometric supplier carries only Countable Choice (The Axiom of Countable Choice ()).
Observer projections, pointwise Eckart vector and local C¹ Landau field (current batch-53 draft): its clause 2 states the unique decomposition , with and . Contracting the decomposition on its first index with gives ; symmetry of then gives when , where . This example proves its null-tensor case directly; the supplier's separate clause 5 is not used. Its current input hash is stale, so this use remains conditional.
Smooth time-oriented Lorentzian four-manifolds: the geometric objects of the model: for a chosen time orientation , a nonzero causal vector is future-directed exactly when . Here , so any future-directed timelike candidate has ; is future-directed null because and .
Verification
Write . Future timelikeness gives and , so . Consequently , since . Hence .
Contract the stress decomposition in [F1] on its first index with . Using , , and gives . Since is symmetric, this means if . By the definition of and the metric, the left side is , a nonzero null vector by step 1.1. The right side is nonzero timelike because and is timelike. Equality is impossible because equal vectors have equal quadratic norm, while these norms are respectively zero and negative. Hence for every candidate future unit timelike , and the tensor has no Landau frame.
