How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Causally disjoint free Weyl local algebras commute
Statement
Assume Countable Choice and Dependent Choice. Let be a Green-data background of Green-hyperbolic free scalar interface, and let be the algebraic local Weyl subalgebra assigned to an open set by Algebraic free Weyl net on Green backgrounds. If , then . If and are causally disjoint, meaning that no point of either set is causally related in either direction to a point of the other, then every element of commutes with every element of .

Facts & Assumptions
Given: Countable Choice, Dependent Choice, a Green-data background on , and open sets .
Assume and Dependent Choice as stated in The Axiom of Countable Choice () and The axiom of dependent choice: a relation in which every element is related to something admits an -indexed chain for the Green-data and causal-curve suppliers.
Green-hyperbolic free scalar interface: for compact real test , is smooth and .
Causal propagator induces the free scalar symplectic quotient: is the symplectic form on the test-function quotient.
Algebraic free Weyl net on Green backgrounds: is generated as a unital algebra closed under by for real compact tests supported in , and .
Causal curves, chronological and causal reachability, and inextendibility: consists of points causally reachable from or to ; causal disjointness of the two regions makes their test supports disjoint from the causal future and past of each other.
Proof
If , every real compact test supported in is also supported in . Thus the generating set for is included in the generating set for , so the generated unital -subalgebra is included.
Let be real compact tests supported in , respectively. By causal disjointness and [F1], . Therefore [F2] gives . The Weyl relation [F3] now gives because the same argument gives . The adjoints of these generators are and , whose test functions have the same supports, so they commute across the two regions as well. Finite sums and products of mutually commuting cross-generators still commute, by distributivity and associativity; these sums and products are exactly the generated algebraic local subalgebras. Hence every pair of elements of the two local algebras commutes.
Remarks
This is an algebraic locality result conditional on the Green-data interface. It constructs no Hilbert-space representation, state or C*-completion. A represented local algebra inherits the same commutation relation under any *-representation where that representation is defined.
