How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Facts & Assumptions
Given: The matrix groups, standard Hermitian inner product on , and last-column map in the Statement. Work in ZF + AC for the imported numerable-bundle fibration result.
A locally trivial fiber bundle over a base with a supplied numeration is a Hurewicz fibration under the stated Axiom of Choice hypothesis. Locally trivial fiber bundle, Numerable fiber bundles are hurewicz fibrations, The Axiom of Choice
A smooth partition of unity subordinate to the finite trivializing cover supplies a numeration of that cover. Smooth partitions of unity exist on manifolds, with the convention of Smooth partitions of unity subordinate to an open cover
Proof
Fix . Choose an orthonormal basis of so the matrix has determinant . For in a sufficiently small neighborhood of , project each onto and apply Gram–Schmidt in that fixed order. The projected vectors remain linearly independent after shrinking , because their Gram determinant is continuous and equals at . The resulting orthonormal frame depends smoothly on . Multiply its first vector by the inverse of the determinant of the frame if necessary; this scalar has modulus one and the adjustment is smooth, preserves orthonormality, and makes the determinant exactly one. Thus is a smooth local section of on .
For with last column , the matrix fixes the last basis vector. Unitarity makes its orthogonal complement invariant, so it is block diagonal ; determinant one gives . The maps are smooth inverses between and . This proves local triviality with the asserted fiber.
The sphere is compact, so finitely many such neighborhoods cover it; [F2] gives a smooth partition of unity and hence a numeration. Applying [F1] proves the bundle is a Hurewicz fibration. For , the stabilizer of the last column in has its upper block in , so the fiber is a point.
