How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Factorization of finite additive canonical densities
Statement
Use the finite additive spectral data of Additive spectral Hamiltonian and normalized ensembles. For every , . For each product label , the diagonal entry of is and its off-diagonal entries are zero. For each integer with , write and , and define the first- reduced matrix by When , the tail-label set consists of the single empty tuple. Then , where is the diagonal matrix on with entries , and the canonical state has expected additive energy .
Facts & Assumptions
Given: A finite alphabet , real levels , finite , and the canonical matrices and partition sums of Additive spectral Hamiltonian and normalized ensembles.
Additive spectral Hamiltonian and normalized ensembles: the energy of a product label is and its canonical weight is the exponential of times that energy.
The exponential addition formula : for real , .
The real exponential function and the number by a power series: denotes the real exponential defined by its power series.
Proof
By [F1] and the notation in [F3], each label weight uses the real exponential . Apply [F2] repeatedly and use distributivity of finite sums to obtain For each product label, division by this positive denominator makes its canonical diagonal entry , while off-diagonal entries vanish. This is the matrix description of in the Statement.
For first-block labels , the matrix entry vanishes when , since is diagonal in the product basis. For , its value is . Summing over the tail labels in the definition of gives , because each tail factor has sum . Hence . Finally the canonical state's mean energy is because every other factor sum is one.
