How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Selected mean-field particle model and iid preparation

Physical scope

Adopt the specified smooth periodic N^-1 interaction and compact-support iid preparation for the mean-field branch; no hard-sphere or real-gas approximation theorem is asserted.

Postulate

Adopt Smooth periodic finite-N and scaled mean-field phase data as the selected finite-particle model: for each N≥1, the phase points (qi,pi) evolve by its displayed Hamilton equations with smooth even periodic potential W and interaction coefficient 1/N. This is a model assumption with qi in metres, pi in kilogram-metres per second, m in kilograms, W in joules, and force K=−∇W in newtons.

For the propagation-of-chaos preparation branch, give Z=Td×Rd its product topology and the Borel sigma algebra generated by its open sets. Choose a Borel probability μ0 and a compact set K⊂Z with μ0(K)=1. Put Ω=ZN with product sigma algebra B(Z)⊗N. Under the full Axiom of Choice, Ionescu-Tulcea construction of a Markov chain applied to the constant kernels Kn(z0,…,zn,A)=μ0(A) supplies a probability P on Ω. Let Zi(0):Ω→Z be the coordinate projections, and use the first N coordinates for the finite-N preparation. For every finite list of indices i1<⋯<ir and Borel sets A1,…,Ar⊆Z, this construction gives

P(Zi1(0)∈A1,…,Zir(0)∈Ar)=∏j=1rμ0(Aj).

Thus each coordinate has law μ0 and the coordinates are mutually independent. Here “iid” means exactly this common-marginal and finite-rectangle factorization property. The cited construction uses Choice to choose a compatible infinite coordinate sequence and again to choose successive coordinates in its continuity-at-the-empty-set argument; this postulate does not weaken that assumption.

These assumptions define the selected physical model and preparation. They do not assert that a real gas, hard-sphere system, or experiment realizes them, and they do not deduce the assumptions from mechanics or observation.
