How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
The bounded-control driven model: mild propagator, interaction-picture evolution and equivalence of the two readings
The bounded-control driven model of the declared system: existence, uniqueness and unitary character of the mild two-time propagator of H(t) = H0 + V(t), the vectorwise mild Schroedinger identity, the weak Schroedinger identity on the domain of H0, the interaction-picture state evolution and control, and the equivalence of the Schroedinger and interaction readings of the outcome laws. The theorem is conditional on a self-adjoint H0 and a strongly continuous bounded self-adjoint control and asserts no invariant domain, no strong full Schroedinger equation for domain vectors, no measurement and no empirical result.
Statement
Adopt the framework data and the declared driven model of The declared driven model: prescribed time-dependent energy families, propagator evolution and the two-level drive models in the bounded-control class of clause (b)(ii): is the model's state space, is self-adjoint on (Symmetric, self-adjoint and essentially self-adjoint operators), is strongly continuous with self-adjoint values and (A bounded linear operator between normed spaces, The operator norm as the least bound and as the unit-sphere or unit-ball supremum), on , and adopt the interaction-picture readings of The interaction picture of the declared driven model: readings, the interaction propagator and picture equivalence of outcome laws: , , . Assume the Axiom of Countable Choice and the Axiom of Choice (The Axiom of Countable Choice (), The Axiom of Choice), the latter for the outcome-law reading of P2. Let be the mild propagator constructed by Strong bounded interaction picture. Then (all differential assertions apply only when , with one-sided derivatives at endpoints; on the mild identity and all algebraic assertions reduce to ):
(a) Well-posedness of the declared model. is the unique family of unitary operators on , jointly strongly continuous on , with , and the cocycle , satisfying the vectorwise mild Schroedinger identity so the model's clause (c)(ii) declaration has exactly one solution. For the scalar curve is continuously differentiable on with No invariance of under , no strong full Schroedinger equation for its domain vectors, and no operator-norm differentiability of with respect to the unbounded generator are asserted.
(b) Interaction picture. For every and every the interaction state satisfies , and its first-endpoint map is strongly differentiable with ; the interaction propagator is unitary with the cocycle and , and its strong truncation bound is for with .
(c) Equivalence of the two readings. For every preparation specified at time , every assigned sharp observable with bounded, every and every Borel set , the Schroedinger reading and the interaction reading give the same outcome probability: and for pure preparations . For eigenvectors of as in clause (e) of the model, the transition probabilities of the two pictures agree,
(d) Scope. The theorem is conditional on the bounded-control class; the mild identity, not a strong equation on , is the evolution equation it establishes, and it asserts nothing about unbounded controls, invariant domains, measurement records, detectors, rates or empirical data.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: the declared driven model in the bounded-control class and its interaction-picture readings; the operators , , ; a preparation , a bounded assigned sharp observable , times ; the Axiom of Countable Choice and the Axiom of Choice.
Interaction-picture supplier. Under the hypotheses of the Statement, is strongly continuous with self-adjoint values and ; the strong integrals and the interaction propagator converge in operator norm uniformly on the time triangle with and ; extends to all as a strongly continuous unitary evolution with and the cocycle; for every its first-endpoint map is with and , where ; the physical propagator is unitary, jointly strongly continuous, has the cocycle and inverse, and satisfies the vectorwise mild identity ; for the scalar curve satisfies (Strong bounded interaction picture).
Model and picture readings. The model declares of clause (c)(ii) as the propagator carrying the state evolution and fixes the evolved preparation and outcome-law readings (The declared driven model: prescribed time-dependent energy families, propagator evolution and the two-level drive models clauses (c)(ii), (d)); the interaction-picture readings fix and state the outcome-law equivalence with the conjugate observable (The interaction picture of the declared driven model: readings, the interaction propagator and picture equivalence of outcome laws clauses (b)-(e)). The conjugate observable has spectral measure (Heisenberg flow of a bounded operator: conjugates, covariance and the equation of motion clause (d), applied to the flow of the self-adjoint generator ).
Framework readings. is a preparation and the outcome law of an assigned sharp observable in a preparation is with the pure form (Assigned sharp observables and the outcome law of the framework clauses (a), (b); The state space: density operators, pure and mixed states, and purity; State and composition postulate P1: Hilbert spaces, preparations and composite systems; Observable and probability postulate P2: self-adjoint observables, spectral probability and finite unsharp outcomes); is the autonomous flow of the assigned energy observable (Assigned energy observable, unitary flow and the two pictures of autonomous evolution clause (b)).
Inner product. The pairing is linear in the first argument and conjugate-linear in the second, and unitary operators preserve it (Real and complex inner product spaces, with the inner product linear in the first argument).
Proof
Given: the data of the Statement and [F1]-[F4].
[Well-posedness and the mild identity] The pair satisfies exactly the hypotheses of [F1] and the model's clause (b)(ii) is that hypothesis, so [F1] supplies the family with the unitary, strong-continuity, inverse and cocycle properties and the vectorwise mild identity, and identifies it with the solution of the model's clause (c)(ii); to prove uniqueness, let be any other jointly strongly continuous unitary family satisfying the same mild identity, fix and , and set . Multiplying the difference of the mild identities by and using the group law yields , with and . The vector is continuous and has finite maximum norm on compact (indeed ). Repeating this oriented integral identity times and applying the vector integral norm inequality, as in the supplier proof of [F1], gives for both time orders. This tends to zero, so for every ; since is unitary and was arbitrary, . On a singleton the mild identity directly fixes . When , the weak identity for is the scalar derivative assertion of [F1]. This is clause (a).
[Interaction picture] By [F1], is unitary with the cocycle and adjoint properties, its first-endpoint map is strongly with , and the truncation bound is displayed; by [F2] and , so the strong equation for follows from the equation for applied to . This is clause (b).
[Equivalence of the readings] Let be specified at and let be bounded. By [F2], and ; using and the trace identity , the two laws agree; for pure preparations unitarity of [F4] gives by [F1]. For the eigenvector amplitudes, and , so the two inner products differ by the phase of modulus one (the amplitude including its defining factor instead has phase ) and the transition probabilities agree, as recorded in clause (e) of The interaction picture of the declared driven model: readings, the interaction propagator and picture equivalence of outcome laws. This is clause (c).
[Scope] Every hypothesis used is one of: self-adjointness of , strong continuity and boundedness of the self-adjoint control, the compactness of , and the choice hypotheses; the established equation is the mild identity, and no invariance of , no strong equation for its vectors, no measurement and no empirical claim entered, which is clause (d).
Remarks
- Why the mild equation and not more. The supplier deliberately does not claim that maps into itself, so the strong full Schroedinger equation for domain vectors is not available at this level of hypothesis; the weak identity of clause (a) is what remains, and it is enough for the amplitude theorem of this page because the eigenvector amplitudes are evaluated in the energy basis of .
- The interaction picture does not change the model. Clause (c) records that and are transported together; a computation in the interaction picture is therefore a computation of the same outcome law, not a different physical situation.
