How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Conditional contact calibrator and product comparison
Conditional consequence of the adopted A1–A7, S1–S3, T1–T5 and C1 assumptions for the declared finite thermal-contact family; not an unconditional law for real materials.
Statement
For every declared family obtained as the closure of finitely many simple-system generators under positive scaling and finite thermal joins of Thermal joins and thermal equivalence, assume the accessibility axioms A1–A6, the simple-system assumptions A7 and S1–S3, the contact assumptions T1–T4, the universal thermal-equilibrium range T5, and equilibrium-join coherence C1, with the exact formulations in Accessibility axioms A1–A6, Simple-system geometric axioms, Thermal-contact axioms T1–T4, Universal thermal-equilibrium range T5, and Equilibrium-join coherence C1. The closure itself may be infinite; each join and product expression is finite. Then for any two simple types , there are in and in such that
Moreover, for this fixed pair , every finite separated product made only from positive scaled copies of and satisfies the comparison hypothesis: any two equal-formal-mass states of that product type satisfy or . No comparison conclusion for products involving a third primitive type is contained in this pairwise result. These are conditional model deductions. In particular, the conclusion is not claimed from the printed Theorem 4.8 interface with T1–T4 alone; the local mathematical supplier explicitly requires the additional T5 and C1 branch.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The full contact branch A1–A7, S1–S3, T1–T5 and C1 on all declared simple types and their finite joins.
Accessibility axioms A1–A6: reflexivity, transitivity, consistency, scaling, reversible splitting and stability hold on the equal-composition finite products.
Simple-system geometric axioms: each simple domain and admitted join is open and convex and satisfies A7 and S1–S3.
Thermal-contact axioms T1–T4: T1–T4 hold for the join and thermal-equilibrium relation of Thermal joins and thermal equivalence.
Universal thermal-equilibrium range T5: T5 supplies a thermal-equilibrium partner at every permitted work coordinate.
Equilibrium-join coherence C1: C1 relates an equilibrated join to each constituent under nested-join identifications.
Contact calibrators under explicit join coherence: the current draft mathematical statement assumes A1–A7, S1–S3, T1–T5, and C1 on a join-closed family and concludes a strict calibrator pair for each pair of systems and comparison hypothesis on their finite scaled products.
Forward-sector hypotheses for a simple state domain: a formal type with primitive amount function has positive weight , and its state is encoded by . A separated pair is addition of these maps; a join has the summed weight and aggregate composition. The interpretation takes the factor amount of each typed state. Its pullback retains raw tags, reversible scaled-copy transport and the stated accessibility axioms. Fixed-type normalization is by the positive factor .
Proof
Given: [A1]–[A5] and the exact mathematical statements [F1]–[F2].
Fix two simple types in the declared family. Give every primitive material its unit amount vector and use the aggregate composition of Tagged scaled systems and separated products for each scaled, separated or joined type ; its sum is unless the type is empty. Construct [F2]'s encoded state and interpretation maps using the physical tagged scaling maps: a raw coefficient at denotes the preparation . The map preserves aggregate composition and formal mass, and distinct raw tags remain distinct. The interpretations of and are the same declared scaled preparation by composition of scaling maps; reflexivity gives reversible transport. When factor coefficients combine or split, [A1]'s reversible-splitting axiom supplies reversibility, so the pullback inherits composition, positive scaling and stability from [A1]. Dividing fixed-type encoded maps by and scaling back preserves and reflects comparisons, so the one-copy forward sectors and all geometry in [A2] are unchanged. Any common sign chosen in the mathematical orientation deduction is used only for proof coordinates ; the physical energy retains its fixed SI meaning, units and all independently adopted positive- or calibration qualifications. Since the same sign is applied to each component and join proof coordinate, summed-energy identities are preserved. Thus the actual preparation model supplies the exact formal conventions and all order/geometric hypotheses required by [F1].
By [A3], the physical operation Thermal joins and thermal equivalence supplies T1–T4 with the same summed-energy coordinates and reversible splitting used in [F1]. Its pair and join retain the same aggregate composition by Thermal joins and thermal equivalence, so their encoded weights both equal ; no mass-one join is compared to an unweighted mass-two pair.
[A4] supplies the separately stated T5 quantifiers for every ordered simple-system pair, and [A5] supplies the separate C1 nested-join equivalence. Thus every premise of [F1], including its two stronger contact inputs, is met on the whole declared join-closed family.
Apply [F1] to this pair . Its first conclusion is states and with ; its second is comparison for every finite separated product made from scaled copies of these two types. This is precisely the stated pairwise conclusion.
Remarks
Lieb–Yngvason’s printed Theorem 4.8 states T1–T4, while its surrounding contact development includes T5 separately. The current local mathematical calibrator carrier makes its actual input stronger and explicit: it also uses C1, the equilibrium-join coherence bridge. Until that carrier and its upstream batch 6 prerequisites are accepted, this physics theorem remains conditional and escalated.
