How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Countable canonical identities under a local moment envelope
Discrete countable energy lists with a specified enumeration and a uniform local summable second-moment envelope on an open positive inverse-temperature interval; no lower-energy-bound-only or arbitrary trace claim is made.
Statement
Under the canonical sampling assumption Canonical sampling assumption for finite and normalized statistical models, let be a specified nonempty countable microstate list with finite energies in joules, counted once (), and let be an open inverse-temperature interval in . Set , , , and ; and are dimensionless numerical coordinates. For , define and, when , . Suppose every compact interval admits a summable sequence with for all and . Define and . Then these moments are finite, is , , , and the dimensionless Gibbs entropy is finite. Define the physical Gibbs entropy by in . Then for . A lower bound on the energies alone does not supply the summable envelope or finite partition function.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: A specified countable energy list, a positive finite canonical partition sum on , and the local summable second-moment envelope.
Countable canonical model: use its real energy coordinates , real parameter , and . Its nonnegative series is the supremum of finite subsums; normalized probabilities and absolute-moment expectations are defined only at positive finite .
Canonical sampling assumption for finite and normalized statistical models: for this normalized countable model, is the adopted preparation law.
Summable canonical differentiation (current batch 11 draft): for real and , the local envelope on each compact interval implies positive finite , , , and absolutely convergent entropy . The current proof is supplied in that draft; its status is not publication acceptance.
SI quantities and unit conventions: and are in joules, is in kelvins, and is in , so is in .
The energy list and degeneracy convention are fixed while varies; every compact interval in has the stated summable envelope.
Proof
Given: The countable model and its local envelope on the open interval .
Apply [L1] to the real coordinates of [F1] with . For any compact interval , its inverse image is compact, and the stated dimensionless envelope becomes exactly there. Thus [L1] gives and finite first and second numerical energy moments on . Because , the normalized probabilities are precisely the adopted counted-once law [F2]. Multiplication by gives and .
Since , substituting in the derivative difference quotients gives and . The derivatives are continuous by [L1], hence and the stated joule and joule-squared mean and variance identities follow. The same probabilities have absolutely convergent entropy . Defining and using gives . These are conditional model identities using the stated envelope and current draft mathematical supplier.
