How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Coherent SDP matrix-expectation oracle

Definition

Input rational parameters 0<τ≤2 and 0<δ<1, a choice of repeated controlled-Q or supplied controlled-power QA13 access with its declared costs, and an explicit finite purification circuit Vρ preparing a unit vector whose reduced state on register S is ρ, together with its inverse and any controlled versions. Also supply a finite unitary dilation WM of the two-outcome POVM E±=(I±M)/2 for a Hermitian contraction M, with an output bit and all work registers. Prepare the purification, apply WM to S, and keep the outcome bit coherent; the resulting finite sampler has values +1 and −1. Supply this signed sampler’s inverse, controlled calls, good and initial-state reflections, observable access, and all value/output encodings. Apply Amplitude-estimation expectation estimator to this sampler on [−1,1] with rational target ε=τ/2 and failure probability δ, using the selected access mode. Return its classical estimate μ~ together with the constructed coherent signed-sampler circuit and its declared access/cost description. The sampling tolerance τ/2 reserves the other half of the requested tolerance τ for a purification-bias allowance in the consuming theorem. No inverse preparation is inferred from a measured postselected Gibbs state.

This procedure is distinct from the flagged-trace ratio route inside the sparse SDP solver; that route is specified by the solver's frozen round factory and trace-label construction. Every purification, observable, inverse, controlled call, dilation, measurement and compilation cost is separately charged.

Dependency tree · two levels

52 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
