How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Left and right integrals and integral functionals

Definition

Let H be a Hopf algebra over a field k as in Hopf algebras and antipodes, with multiplication, unit 1, counit ε, and antipode. The left-integral space and right-integral space of H are ∫Hℓ={Λ∈H:hΛ=ε(h)Λ for every h∈H},∫Hr={Λ∈H:Λh=ε(h)Λ for every h∈H}. Both are linear subspaces and include zero. When H is finite-dimensional, its dual H∗ is a Hopf algebra. Its product is convolution (f∗g)(h)=∑f(h1)g(h2) and its counit is εH∗(f)=f(1). A left integral functional on H means an element λ∈H∗ satisfying f∗λ=f(1)λ for every f∈H∗; a right integral functional satisfies λ∗f=f(1)λ. Zero is allowed in both definitions; existence of a nonzero integral is a theorem, not part of the definition.

9 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
