How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Integer-order Bessel series

Definition

For an integer n≥0 and z∈C, define

Jn(z)=∑k=0∞(−1)k(z/2)2k+nk!(k+n)!,In(z)=∑k=0∞(z/2)2k+nk!(k+n)!.

These are the integer-order Bessel and modified Bessel functions used on this page. For real x≥0, the scaled modified Bessel value means Insc(x)=e−xIn(x). This notation does not assert a finite evaluation method or a truncation bound; those are proved separately.
