How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Differential range invariance for Banach-space maps

Definition

Let X, Y, and Z be real Banach spaces, let U⊆X be nonempty, let x0∈U, and let F:U→Y be a map. A differential range-invariance factorization at x0 on U consists of a bounded linear map K:Z→Y and a map r:U→Z such that

F(x)−F(x0)=Kr(x)(x∈U).

Thus every data increment lies in the range of the fixed operator K. The factorization alone does not assert that K is injective, that r is unique, or that a tangential-cone inequality holds. If U is open and F and r are Fréchet differentiable, differentiating this identity gives F′(x)=Kr′(x) at every x∈U; no converse is asserted without further hypotheses.

9 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
