How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Injective geodesic ray transform on a transversal manifold

Definition

Let (M0,g0) be a compact connected smooth Riemannian manifold with smooth boundary. A geodesic segment in M0 satisfies the geodesic equation for the Levi-Civita connection of g0 on (0,L) and extends smoothly to its endpoints, where derivatives are interpreted one-sided. A nontangential maximal geodesic segment is a unit-speed geodesic γ:[0,L]→M0, with L>0, whose initial velocity points strictly inward at ∂M0, whose terminal velocity points strictly outward at ∂M0, and whose points for 0<t<L lie in M0∘. For f∈Cc∞(M0∘,R) define its geodesic ray transform by Ig0f(γ)=∫0Lf(γ(t)) dt. The unweighted scalar ray transform is called injective on compactly supported smooth functions if Ig0f(γ)=0 for every such segment implies f=0. For complex-valued f, injectivity means injectivity of its real and imaginary parts separately.

Dependency tree · two levels

15 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
