How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Convex invariant domains for a one-step update

Definition

Let m,N≥1, let A⊆Rm be a state domain, and let Φ:AN→AN be a one-step update on N cell states. A set K⊆A is convex if θU+(1−θ)V∈K for every U,V∈K and θ∈[0,1]. It is a convex invariant domain for Φ if it is convex and Φ(KN)⊆KN. The word invariant refers only to this stated one-step map and its stated admissible inputs; it asserts no invariance for a different flux, time integrator, or exact Riemann evolution.
