How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
The trivial group gives ordinary 2Vect
Example
Take . A -graded finite semisimple category is just a finite semisimple -linear category. There is only one normalized 4-cochain, hence only one normalized 4-cocycle, and its pentagonator is the identity.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: and the definition of .
Four-cocycle twisted monoidal structure on 2Vect_G: The pentagonator is multiplication by the normalized 4-cocycle on homogeneous degree tuples, and the unit is concentrated in the identity degree.
A normalized group 4-cocycle gives a fusion 2-category 2Vect_G^omega: For finite , simple object classes of are exactly , and the unit is simple.
Group and abelian group: A group has associative multiplication, identity, and inverses.
Verification
Since has one element, every tuple in is . Normalization forces , so the convolution grading has one summand and the pentagonator is the identity. Thus the underlying monoidal 2-category is the usual 2-category of finite semisimple -linear categories, linear functors, and natural transformations with Deligne tensor product.
The simple-object list in [F2] becomes the singleton , which is also the monoidal unit. A finite semisimple category with simple labels is the direct sum of copies of , so this is exactly the ordinary 2-vector-space example and its unique simple-object class.

Dependency tree · two levels
13 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
