How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
A Beta(2,3) prior updated by five Bernoulli trials
Statement
Assume Countable Choice. With prior and Binomial trials, an observed success count has evidence and posterior . The boundary counts and give proper posteriors and .
Facts & Assumptions
Given: Countable Choice, the prior parameters , trial count , and success count .
Countable Choice is used by the Beta density normalization in the update theorem. The Axiom of Countable Choice ().
For positive , the evidence is and the posterior is Beta; endpoint counts are allowed. Beta-Binomial conjugate update.
For every natural number , . for every natural number .
For , . The real Beta--Gamma identity.
Proof
Given: Countable Choice, , , and .
By [F3] and [F2], and . Thus [F1] gives This number is finite and positive.
The posterior parameters in [F1] are and , so the posterior is .
At the updated shapes are ; at they are . Both pairs are positive, so [F1] gives finite-positive evidence and the stated proper endpoint posteriors.

Dependency tree · two levels
27 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
