How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
The Murphy cellular basis of H(S_3)
Example
Work over any commutative ring with and let with generators , the braid relation and quadratics . The Murphy cellular basis (The Murphy tableau elements form a cellular basis) is indexed by the partitions ordered by dominance. Explicitly, with the antiautomorphism (Murphy elements and Murphy tableau elements): (a) for , and ; (b) for , with , , and (the row symmetrizer of ), so that , , and ; (c) for , and . In total elements; the middle cell carries basis elements, its two off-diagonal elements satisfy , and the largest cell is spanned by , illustrating the cellular anti-involution. At this is the Murphy basis of , obtained by base change from the integral basis over (Polytabloid specialization and the exact signed multiplicity dictionary).
Facts & Assumptions
Given: A commutative ring , , with standard basis and Murphy elements (Murphy elements and Murphy tableau elements); the cellular axioms (Cellular bases and cell modules); the Murphy cellular basis theorem (The Murphy tableau elements form a cellular basis).
(Murphy elements and Murphy tableau elements) , , ; for the shape the distinguished representatives are and , and for and the Young subgroups are all of and trivial respectively.
(The Murphy tableau elements form a cellular basis) The six elements form an -basis of indexed by the three partitions ordered by dominance.
At , identifies with over every commutative (Hecke Jucys-Murphy elements and q-contents, Definition, final paragraph). The integral Murphy basis specializes by [F2].
Verification
Cell : , so ; the two standard tableaux of shape are (row reading word , so ) and (row reading word , so ). Hence , , and , using and .
Cells and : has six elements with reduced expressions , so for the unique standard tableau; is trivial, so its group algebra sum is the identity, , and .
Count and anti-involution: the three cells contribute elements, in agreement with being free of rank ; and is the instance of the general identity of [F1], the middle cell being the one with two indices.
Specialization: setting turns into , so the displayed elements become the Murphy basis of ; this is the case of [F3].

42 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
