How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Perverse decomposition of projective space over a point
Example
Assume the Axiom of Choice as inherited from the cited geometry suppliers. Let . In the perverse category on a point, perversity equals the ordinary cohomological t-structure. For characteristic-zero , has one copy of in each degree and is the finite sum .
Verification
Given: The morphism with its standard projective-space structure, a characteristic-zero coefficient field , and the Axiom of Choice inherited from the cited geometry suppliers.
[F1] Cellular cochains compute cohomology with the constant coefficient system , by Cellular cochains compute cohomology with local coefficients.
[F2] The support and cosupport bounds on the sole zero-dimensional stratum define the ordinary t-structure, by Ordinary middle perverse t structure, recollement and intersection complexes.
[F3] The finite perverse splitting for this smooth projective source is Compact smooth projective pushforwards have semisimple perverse cohomology in characteristic zero.
The standard characteristic maps exhibit the cellular filtration with exactly one real cell in each dimension : the map from the closed unit ball in sending to has interior mapping homeomorphically onto the last-coordinate affine chart and boundary mapping onto . Adjacent cellular groups sit in degrees of opposite parity, so the cellular differential vanishes and Cellular cochains compute cohomology with local coefficients gives for and for all other .
On a point the perverse support and cosupport inequalities are for and for , respectively, by Ordinary middle perverse t structure, recollement and intersection complexes. Thus the perverse t-structure equals the ordinary one, its heart consists of finite-dimensional -vector spaces in degree zero, and . Since is smooth projective and is projective, Compact smooth projective pushforwards have semisimple perverse cohomology in characteristic zero supplies the finite splitting . Substituting step 1.1 gives , with a simple copy of exactly in degrees . For this is the single summand ; an empty source is outside the example.

29 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
