How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Worked Fibonacci and Ising braid matrices
Example
For the Fibonacci three-, total- sector and the Ising three-, total- sector, use the F/R data of Fibonacci fusion data and chiral convention and Ising fusion data and chiral convention. In each sector the first generator is and the second is . We verify both are unitary, satisfy the Artin relation, and have projective orders (Fibonacci) and (Ising).
Facts & Assumptions
Given: the two fixed two-dimensional fusion sectors and their orthonormal bases, F matrices, and R eigenvalues.
Fibonacci fusion data and chiral convention: in the Fibonacci sector, , , , , and .
Ising fusion data and chiral convention: in the Ising sector, , , and .
The braid group by Artin presentation: for three strands the defining adjacent-generator relation is .
Linear isometries, and orthogonal or unitary operators on finite-dimensional inner product spaces: a unitary operator preserves the inner-product norm; in an orthonormal basis its matrix satisfies .
Verification
Given: the data in [F1] and [F2].
In either sector write and . The F matrices in [F1] and [F2] are unitary by their displayed entries and the identities proved for the respective examples. Since are unit complex numbers, is unitary; is a product of unitary matrices and is therefore unitary as well.
A projective class of has the same order as . In the Fibonacci case has exact order because . In the Ising case has exact order . These orders ignore only the common scalar .
In the Fibonacci case put and . Then and , where . Put . Direct multiplication gives Here , , and , so . Thus and .
In the Ising case put and . Then and Multiplication yields because . Therefore in the Ising sector as well.
Steps 1.1–1.2 give the explicit unitary braid matrices, verify their Artin relation, and compute their projective generator orders in both stated sectors. No statement about other Ising sectors is used.

18 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
