How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
The categorical commutator in a small cyclotomic weight
Example
Take with , , , and , so that and the standard cyclotomic quotient has relations . Then:
(a) , with graded dimension , and for , so the functors on the nonzero weights are and ;
(b) the categorical relation of The categorical commutator for cyclotomic KLR functors at , (case ) reads ; on the vacuum it says , which is exactly ;
(c) consequently, with the normalized operators of Cyclotomic KLR functors define an integrable quantum action on and , on : and , so with ; on the same commutator identity holds: , lowers back, , and . This is the mixed relation of Cyclotomic KLR functors define an integrable quantum action on and verified at the first nontrivial weight.
Verification
Given: The rank-one datum , , , , , with the standard quotient and the functors of Cyclotomic KLR induction and restriction functors.
[F1] The rank-one quotients: , of graded dimension , for , and basic restriction of is the vector space (Cyclotomic KLR quotients in ranks zero, one and two).
[F2] The categorical relation at target weight has identity shifts , so its vacuum evaluation is exactly (The categorical commutator for cyclotomic KLR functors).
[F3] The normalized operators on carry on projective at input root , while KK module carries and KK is raw, and the canonical module action shifts and leaves raw (Cyclotomic KLR functors define an integrable quantum action on and ).
Verification.
The blocks. The rank-zero block is and the rank-one quotient is with basis and degrees . Restriction of the vacuum has zero target. Thus the relevant functor values on the vacuum are and .
The commutator. The relation of [F2] evaluated on the vacuum gives , which is by [F1], so holds at the first nontrivial weight.
The Grothendieck commutator. With the normalizations of [F3]: projective and ; KK module from the vacuum also carries while KK is raw, and the canonical module action shifts and leaves raw, giving the same result in both module conventions. All agree with , the mixed relation evaluated at . This verifies the commutator identity at the first nontrivial weight and is a finite rank-one computation using no choice.
