How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Products of Green coproducts converge coefficientwise
Statement
For any , the product in the twisted tensor multiplication of The Green Hall completion and coproduct has a finite coefficient sum at every fixed basis pair . Thus the product is defined in the coefficientwise completion. The claim does not extend to arbitrary pairs of completed tensors.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: Objects in a finitary abelian category.
Every nonzero Hall coefficient is witnessed by a short exact sequence with the stated quotient and subobject, and Hom sets are finite (Small finitary abelian categories for Hall multiplication).
A product coefficient can be nonzero only for exact sequences , , , and (The Green Hall completion and coproduct).
Proof
Fix . A nonzero contribution to their coefficient determines the four exact sequences in [F2]. Compose with the monomorphism ; its image is because the first map is epic and the second is monic. Thus the isomorphism class occurs as the image of a morphism . There are finitely many such morphisms by [F1], hence finitely many possible .
Compose with . Its image is , and its kernel is , so finite gives only finitely many possible pairs . The finite set similarly gives only finitely many pairs from the image and cokernel of . Hence only finitely many quadruples contribute.
Each quadruple contributes one scalar, finite Hall coefficients and a finite sum by step 2.1. Therefore the coefficient of is a finite sum, for every output pair.

15 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
