How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Statement
For finite distributions P,Q and a vector X∈[0,1]^m, if P·X≤0.06 and Q·X≥0.94, then D(Q∥P)≥1 (with +∞ allowed).
Facts & Assumptions
Given: Probability vectors on and with and .
Finite distributions, entropy, divergence, and stochastic matrices: , with value if for some .
The logarithm tangent inequality: For every , .
Proof
If , the result holds. Otherwise form distributions on by , and the analogous formulas for . Expanding the defining finite sum and summing the common two-outcome kernel gives .
Group the terms of this divergence according to the second coordinate . For each , the group equals , where and ; the conditional divergence is nonnegative by applying [F2] to each ratio, and zero-mass cases follow by the stated convention. Hence .
For , the binary divergence has and . Therefore the hypotheses imply , since . Boundary values follow by limits or give infinite divergence. Combining with step 2.1 proves .

Dependency tree · two levels
3 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
