How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Normalized right closure preserves the diagram trace radical
Statement
Let and . Define the trace-pairing radical
Then is a two-sided ideal, , and . Consequently the inclusion and normalized right closure descend to the quotient tower .
Facts & Assumptions
Given: , the trace-pairing radicals, and the maps from Finite diagram tower inclusion and normalized right closure.
The diagram tower maps and are bimodular and trace-preserving. (Right closure is a trace-preserving diagram-tower expectation)
is the normalized closure trace on the finite diagram algebra, and stacking defines its algebra products. (Temperley–Lieb planar diagram data and endomorphism modules, Normalized Temperley–Lieb trace from diagram closure)
The closure trace is cyclic: . (The normalized closure trace is cyclic and satisfies the Markov rules)
Proof
Let and . The defining radical condition gives , so . By cyclicity, , since . Thus both and lie in , proving that is a two-sided ideal.
If and , trace preservation and right bimodularity yield , because . Hence .
If and , then by left bimodularity, and trace preservation makes this by the definition of . Thus . These ideal inclusions make both quotient maps independent of representatives, so the tower and right-closure maps descend.

9 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
