How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
The Fibonacci ring class is a unit but its simple object is not tensor-invertible
Statement
In the coherent Fibonacci category Fibonacci fusion data and chiral convention, with simple objects and , the fusion-ring class is a unit but the object is not tensor-invertible in the sense of Tensor-invertible objects, fusion-ring units, and invertible operators.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The complex finite semisimple Fibonacci category and its simple fusion rule.
Fibonacci fusion data and chiral convention: the simple labels are and .
Fusion rules: simple-object multiplicities are nonnegative integers and form the basis coefficients in .
Tensor-invertible objects, fusion-ring units, and invertible operators: tensor-invertibility requires an object right inverse; an object has a finite semisimple decomposition with nonnegative multiplicities.
Proof
Given: The Fibonacci fusion rule and the definitions in [F2]–[F3].
In , [F1] gives . Hence and by the same polynomial calculation. Thus is a fusion-ring unit, with inverse the virtual class .
If an object were a right tensor inverse, [F3] would give for some integers . Then . Equality with would force and , impossible for . Therefore has no right tensor inverse and cannot be tensor-invertible.

14 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
