How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
KZ identifies the torsion quotient with Hecke modules under the Hecke-rank hypothesis
Statement
Let , the kernel of localization to . If then KZ induces an equivalence The rank equality is an explicit hypothesis; no unconditional equivalence is claimed.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The data and hypotheses in the Statement.
Localized Cherednik monodromy is fully faithful and its image is closed under subquotients: the quotient embeds fully faithfully and exactly into braid-group modules with image closed under subobjects and quotients.
KZ monodromy on category O factors through the reflection Hecke algebra: the embedding has target -modules.
Cherednik BGG reciprocity and the KZ projective rank: the underlying vector-space KZ functor is for a projective , and ; its proof supplies highest-weight structure, BGG reciprocity and the full rank calculation.
Dunkl localization gives flat connections on the regular locus: KZ is exact and its kernel is precisely the torsion subcategory, since a nonzero localized flat bundle has nonzero fiber.
Proof
Given: The stated hypotheses and Facts.
Exact localization makes Serre, and [F1]–[F2] give an exact fully faithful functor with subquotient-closed image. It is faithful on objects: a zero fiber means a zero localized bundle. Set , the image of [F3]'s projective.
For every torsion object , . Consequently has no nonzero torsion quotient. In the explicit Serre-quotient roofs, any source subobject with torsion quotient must equal . A map lifts to by projectivity, uniquely modulo maps into , which are zero. Hence naturally. This proves projective because its represented functor is exact. It is a finite generator: evaluation from finitely many copies of is onto, since a nonzero cokernel would receive a nonzero map from , lifting by projectivity and contradicting the evaluation image. Hom spaces are finite by [F1].
Put . Finite presentations by and projectivity show that is an equivalence : apply it to a presentation, and conversely lift a finite free -presentation to copies of and take its cokernel. Naturality identifies the Hecke action with restriction along an algebra homomorphism . Explicitly if acts by precomposition, , then and . Under the module is the regular left -module restricted by .
The map is surjective. Let , an -submodule of the regular restricted module, containing . By [F1] it belongs to the essential image. Full faithfulness makes its inclusion into an -linear map when interpreted through the equivalence in the preceding step. Its image is therefore an -submodule containing , hence all of . Thus . This proves surjectivity using actual subobject closure; exactness and the numerical hypothesis alone would not prove it.
By [F3], . The stated hypothesis gives , so the surjection is an isomorphism. Restriction along it is an equivalence, and the equivalence in the earlier step identifies it with . This proves the required torsion-quotient equivalence under exactly the stated Hecke-rank hypothesis.
