How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Periodized empirical field of a finite configuration

Definition

Assume Countable Choice The Axiom of Countable Choice (ACω). Use the cube ΛL=[0,L)d and the translation Tx defined in Poisson Configuration Reference. For a finite configuration ω⊂ΛL, let ω(L)={q+Lk:q∈ω, k∈Zd} be its periodic continuation. Define its periodized empirical field RL,ω:=1Ld∫ΛLδTxω(L) dx. The integral is the push-forward of normalized Lebesgue measure on ΛL under x↦Txω(L). For any probability law CL on finite configurations in ΛL, define its empirical-field barycenter as the probability mixture CˉL(B)=∫CL(dω)RL,ω(B) for every measurable configuration event B. By Tonelli's theorem for nonnegative measurable functions on a sigma-finite product, for a nonnegative measurable test f, the mixture identity holds with values in [0,+∞]. For a signed local tame f from Local-Tame Topology, the finite expectation formula CˉL(f)=∫CL(dω)RL,ω(f)=1Ld∫ΛLECL[f(Txω(L))] dx is asserted when ∫CL(dω)RL,ω(∣f∣)<∞. In particular ECLN<∞ suffices: if a bounded support A is contained in a box of side a, then NA(Txω(L))≤(⌈a/L⌉+2)dN(ω) uniformly in x. The growth bound ∣f∣≤b(1+NA) therefore gives absolute integrability. For stationary laws write ρ(P)=EPN[0,1)d∈[0,+∞], with finite intensity meaning ρ(P)<∞; this agrees with the finite-intensity convention in Superstable regular pair interactions and configurational ensemble notation. This is a spatial average over the finite box, not the raw finite-volume law viewed at a fixed origin.
