How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Coulomb chart linearization and derivative loss
Example
Use the configuration fixed in the earlier definition Smooth and Sobolev configuration and reduced gauge spaces: is a compact, connected, oriented, boundaryless smooth Riemannian manifold of dimension , is a smooth right principal -bundle with , and is the fixed smooth reference connection. There , , the right action is , and is the formal adjoint with its stated local coefficient formula. Let be an integer with and let , meaning its holonomy representation on is irreducible. The differential at of the Coulomb-gauge action map
is the bounded isomorphism
Its inverse, for , is
where is the bounded inverse from the preceding covariant-Laplacian result. Thus the connection variation lies in , the infinitesimal gauge parameter lies in , and the gauge term loses one derivative. This is a linearized chart statement and asserts no determinant or measure formula.
