How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
A positive-FI point with a non-locally-free framed sheaf
Example
Take with their standard Hermitian products and let . For scalar maps and , the complex and real moment maps are and ; positive-FI solutions satisfy and . Stability means spans , and costability means no nonzero common invariant subspace is contained in . The datum , , is stable and positive-FI, but not costable, so it is outside the zero-FI regular locus. Under the complex action its stable orbit has representative , whose framed monad on homogeneous coordinates is
whose middle cohomology is the ideal sheaf of ; it is torsion-free and not locally free at . Thus this positive-FI point lies on the non-locally-free boundary excluded from the ordinary zero-FI framed ASD correspondence.

Facts & Assumptions
Given: , a positive real level , and the ADHM, quotient and framed monad conventions in the cited items.
The complex moment is , the real moment is , stability means the -words applied to span , and costability forbids a nonzero common invariant subspace in . ADHM linear data, stability, costability and FI levels
The positive-FI real quotient represents the stable complex orbit, while at zero FI the real quotient represents exactly the stable-and-costable locus. Real and complex ADHM quotients at positive and regular zero FI
For a stable complex datum the framed monad has maps and , and its middle cohomology is a framed torsion-free sheaf; local freeness is equivalent to costability. Framed P² monads and stable ADHM data
Proof
Given: The datum and hypotheses in the Example.
For , both commutators vanish. Thus and . Since , the words of length zero applied to span , so the datum is stable. Since , the nonzero subspace is invariant and contained in , so the datum is not costable; in particular it is not a zero-FI regular datum. By [F2], its positive-FI complex orbit has a representative with after the change of basis .
Substituting that representative in [F3] gives and . Their product is . The row is surjective at every projective point because its three entries have no common zero, and is injective as a sheaf map because it is nonzero away from . Let . Projection to the third coordinate restricts to a morphism . On the affine chart , put and ; a vector in has the form , so and its kernel is generated by , the image of . On any chart away from where or is a unit, the same equations show that is onto and its kernel is generated by . Hence globally, where is the ideal sheaf of .
At , the local ideal is not principal: if it were generated by one element in the regular local ring , its quotient by the maximal ideal would have dimension at most one, whereas has dimension two. Therefore is not locally free at . Its framing on is the canonical trivialization because . This exhibits a positive-FI stable point outside the costable, locally-free zero-FI locus; the correspondence with ordinary ASD moduli is restricted to that zero-FI locus and does not absorb this boundary point.
