How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Fixed-angular-momentum stability at 2s, 3s and 4s
Worked parameter values for the conditional Schwarzschild fixed-angular-momentum radial model; not full orbital stability or an observation.
Example
Use and the reduced potential of Lyapunov stability of Schwarzschild circular orbits in the fixed-angular-momentum radial system. At a circular orbit, .
-
Stable radial equilibrium at . The circular value is , and
The fixed- radial equilibrium is Lyapunov stable.
-
Unstable radial equilibrium at . Here and
The fixed- equilibrium is unstable.
-
Degenerate endpoint at . Here and . It has a stationary inflection rather than a strict extremum, and the radial equilibrium is not Lyapunov stable by the one-sided perturbation argument in the theorem.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: , the Schwarzschild radial potential, and the fixed-angular-momentum stability theorem.
At a timelike circular orbit , and for (Circular timelike geodesics, their radial-potential stability threshold, and the photon sphere at r = 3s/2 clause (c)).
For the fixed- radial system, radii are Lyapunov stable and radii are not (Lyapunov stability of Schwarzschild circular orbits in the fixed-angular-momentum radial system).
Verification
At , substitution gives and [F1] gives . Since , [F2] classifies the equilibrium as Lyapunov stable in the fixed- radial state.
At , substitution gives and . Since , [F2] classifies this equilibrium as unstable.
At , substitution gives . Direct differentiation of at this fixed angular momentum gives , positive away from and zero at . The equilibrium is a stationary inflection; [F2] classifies it as not Lyapunov stable. All three results are restricted radial-model classifications.
