How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
One bosonic and one fermionic mode at a specified temperature
An exact hypothetical canonical calculation for one bosonic oscillator mode and one fermionic two-level mode with beta times excitation energy equal to log 2; it is not a measurement or a thermalization claim.
Example
Assume AC and Countable Choice as required by Finite bosonic and fermionic mode partition and occupation formulas. Choose kelvins and excitation energy joules, so . Consider separately one bosonic mode with occupations and one fermionic mode with occupations .
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The declared one-mode systems, their positive excitation energy, and the adopted Gibbs preparation.
Finite bosonic and fermionic mode partition and occupation formulas: for , the bosonic partition trace is with mean , and the fermionic partition sum is with excited occupation ; these are conditional on its stated quantum preparation and suppliers.
SI quantities and unit conventions: is in kelvins, in , and in .
The selected energy is joules, and .
AC and Countable Choice are assumed through [F1] for the quantum Gibbs assignment and the supplied one-mode calculations.
Verification
Given: and the finite-mode identities in [F1].
The bosonic trace is , and the probability of occupation is . Its mean occupation is .
The fermionic partition sum is , so the ground and excited probabilities are and , respectively, and the mean occupation is . The bosonic and fermionic values belong to distinct declared models.
