How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Vacuum projectors obey the reverse adjacent Temperley–Lieb relation
Statement
Let be a unitary spherical fusion category over . Let be simple objects, with self-dual, , and supply the normalized vacuum-channel self-duality datum with sign and positive spherical dimension . For , take the fixed-boundary repeated- path space with and , as in Fixed-boundary anyonic fusion-path space. Let be the orthogonal local vacuum-channel projectors and put , where . Then, for every ,
This supplies the reverse adjacent relation for the repeated-charge Temperley–Lieb family.

Facts & Assumptions
Given: The unitary spherical fusion category, self-dual charge , normalized vacuum-channel cup/cap datum, fixed-boundary path space, and indices .
Fixed-boundary anyonic fusion-path space: has split-tree bases indexed by intermediate simple charges and every vertex multiplicity coordinate.
Local anyonic channel projector: , where is the typed F-move coordinate matrix and retains all multiplicity coordinates of pair output .
F-symbol as a recoupling matrix: for the three-site associator, the coefficient is the target right-tree coordinate of the left-tree basis map after applying the inverse associator; the tree bases are orthonormal.
Local channel projections are orthogonal idempotents: in a unitary fusion category with orthonormal split-tree bases, each local channel projector is an orthogonal projection.
Frobenius–Schur sign in a normalized anyonic vacuum channel: , , and the normalized duality maps are and .
The vacuum F-coefficient records the Frobenius–Schur sign: in the stated orthonormal vacuum gauge, and .
Canonical F-move paths give the same channel operator: canonical F-move paths between the same fixed parenthesizations give the same local channel operator.
Unitary fusion paths form an orthonormal Hilbert basis: the split Hom inner product on the path space is linear in its first variable and satisfies .
Proof
Given: The category and path data in the Statement, with the split-tree inner products and normalized vacuum gauge from [F2]–[F6].
Choose a parenthesization grouping the three sites and decompose the split-tree basis by their simple total charge and the spectator labels. If the first pair fuses to , then its fusion with the third has total charge ; the same is true if the last pair fuses to . On the block each vacuum-channel subspace has dimension , since and the tensor unit acts as the identity. On every block both projectors vanish. Each fixed spectator label and multiplicity coordinate gives a copy of this local block, where and act as rank-one orthogonal projections onto unit vectors and , by [F4].
By the F-symbol coordinate convention in [F3], the vacuum-to-vacuum entry of the three-site F-move is the coordinate of one unit basis vector in the other tree basis. Therefore by [F5] and [F6], so .
For unit vectors , the linear-first convention in [F8] gives the rank-one projections and . Hence . Therefore on each spectator copy; on every other block both sides are zero. Tensoring with the spectator identities and transporting to the fixed path parenthesization preserves the relation by [F7].
Since and , . Thus . The sign is retained in the final equality.
Remarks
The published anyonic projector proposition supplies the square relation, the left-oriented adjacent relation, and distant commutation, but its Statement does not list this reverse adjacent relation. The rank-one calculation above proves that missing direction from the same normalized F-coefficient, so the Hecke braid theorem can be applied to the actual anyonic family without assuming the omitted relation.
