How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Differentiated SSC momentum–velocity identity
Statement
Assume Countable Choice as inherited by the supplied Lorentzian smooth-structure and connection results. Let be a nonempty open interval and let be a future timelike worldline in a time-oriented smooth Lorentzian four-manifold , parametrized by proper time in the convention of Timelike worldlines, proper time, length and four-velocity on a Lorentzian four-manifold. Set , so . For finite regularity, a tensor field along means a tensor in the fibre over whose components in every smooth chart are functions of . Define its derivative in that chart by differentiating each component and adding on each upper index and on each lower index. In particular, These formulas extend the smooth-curve derivative of Covariant derivative along a curve to the stated data. Let be a vector field along , let and be bivector fields along , and let be a future unit timelike field along . Suppose Define and . Then , and Here denotes an arbitrary antisymmetric torque; setting it to zero gives the torque-free case.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The Lorentzian manifold, its metric-compatible connection, the stated future timelike proper-time worldline, vector and bivector fields along it, a future unit field , the SSC and the spin evolution equation.
Countable Choice is inherited through the supplied GR smooth-structure and connection items. The Axiom of Countable Choice ()
Along the same proper-time curve, the observer satisfies and the antisymmetric fields obey , with the stated regularity.
Proper-time parametrization of a future timelike Lorentzian worldline gives . Timelike worldlines, proper time, length and four-velocity on a Lorentzian four-manifold
The covariant derivative along a curve satisfies the product rule on a pairing, and metric compatibility gives . Covariant derivative along a curve; Existence and uniqueness of the metric-selected connection of a nondegenerate metric, and its extension to tensor fields
For a future unit timelike observer and future timelike , . Pairing of an observer with future causal vectors
Proof
The chain rule and the connection coefficient transformation law cancel derivatives of the chart transition matrices in the displayed formulas, so is independent of the chart. The ordinary component product rule gives the tensor product and contraction rules; the coordinate identity from metric compatibility gives . These arguments require only tensor components along a curve. Differentiate the SSC in [A2] along using the inherited smooth-structure assumption and covariant product rule, then substitute its spin evolution equation: Every term is defined at the same point of , so the covariant product rule applies without comparing different tangent fibres.
The definitions give and . Substitution into step 1.1 and rearrangement yield Positivity of follows from [F3].

This is tensor algebra along one specified curve. It does not select an SSC, prove closure of the MPD equations, or identify with .
