How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Relative-shell canonical comparison preparation

Physical scope

Effective Newtonian relative two-body Hamiltonian on the fixed hard radial shell r0≤|q|≤R with canonical β>0 preparation; the center-of-mass mode is absent and the unbounded canonical momentum tail has no uniform slow-speed guarantee.

Postulate

Use positive masses m1,m2 in kg, reduced mass μ=m1m2/(m1+m2), A=Gm1m2>0 in J m, relative position q∈R3 in metres, relative momentum p∈R3 in kg m s−1, and action reference h∗>0 in J s. Fix r0>0 and R>16r0. Adopt the relative phase region and Hamiltonian of Regulated relative Kepler phase volume and shell law: Γrel={(q,p):r0≤∣q∣≤R, p∈R3},dνrel=h∗−3d3q d3p,h(q,p)=∣p∣22μ−A∣q∣. There are no center-of-mass variables and no identical-particle factor in this relative phase convention. Adopt a canonical preparation at inverse energy β>0 with TK=(kBβ)−1 and density pβ(q,p)=Zrel(β)−1e−βh(q,p) relative to dνrel on all of Γrel. Its finite positive normalizer and normalized density follow from Exact relative-shell canonical normalization and response. Since h is finite throughout this domain, the density is positive for arbitrarily large momentum magnitudes. This is a fixed relative-shell effective Newtonian model, distinct from the microcanonical preparation and Gibbs-volume entropy convention in Confined relative Kepler shell and volume entropy preparation.

Here m1,m2,G,r0,R,h∗ and β are fixed inputs; the reduced mass μ, coupling product A, and Hamiltonian h are the specified derived constructions. The partition function, density, temperature parameter and response are derived within this selected preparation.

Because canonical momenta are unbounded, this preparation does not have the whole-ensemble slow-motion bound imposed on the separate bounded-energy microcanonical branch. The postulate makes no claim that either distribution is dynamically reached or empirically observed.
