How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Statement
Assume Countable Choice. Let , , and , and write . For a period cell, define .
First, for and either or , let and be a velocity-pressure pair solving the unforced incompressible Navier–Stokes system then for any , solves the same system with the same viscosity on or on the torus of period , respectively, for . On the torus, use the Fourier Leray multiplier , for ; the projected equation is preserved as well because . For a cell-volume norm, .
Second, for any , if , is open, , and solve the unforced incompressible Euler system , , then on the scaled domain , solves the same equation on the correspondingly scaled domain and time interval . These transformations are equation symmetries; on a torus they transform its period.
Finally, let be physical scales in SI units, where is in m/s, in m, is a constant positive reference density in kg/m, and dynamic viscosity is in Pas. Set kinematic viscosity , in m/s. Let be an open dimensionless spatial region and an open time interval; set and . Take and ; the scaled fields are dimensionless. Define physical velocity maps , physical-pressure maps , and density-perturbation map by Adopt the constant-reference-density kinematic-pressure convention ; thus has units m/s, while has units Pa. If satisfy the constant-density incompressible system then the stated substitution gives the dimensionless system where . Let be a differentiable equation-of-state pressure map, measured in Pa, at , with in m/s, and set the sound speed in m/s. For the linear acoustic tangent system, let the physical fields and satisfy Here has units kg/m. The scales , , , and give the momentum coefficient , where . Both and are dimensionless. These are chain-rule identities and assert no continuum limit or empirical similarity.

Facts & Assumptions
Given: The smooth equations and positive scale constants in the Statement. All scale constants are mathematical parameters; no empirical assumption is made.
Periodic Leray and pressure maps: at nonzero Fourier frequency , the Leray multiplier is , and the pressure multiplier has the same degree-zero dependence on frequency direction.
Countable Choice: every countable family of nonempty sets has a choice function (The Axiom of Countable Choice ()).
Proof
For the Navier–Stokes scaling, the chain rule gives , , , and . Also . Thus the full equation and divergence constraint retain the same viscosity.
For the Euler transformation, the time derivative, convective term, and pressure gradient each acquire the common factor ; the divergence acquires . Thus the equation and divergence constraint are preserved on the scaled domain and time interval.
Under the stated dimensional change of variables and normalization , each acceleration and kinematic-pressure-gradient term in the physical incompressible equation has factor , while has factor . Dividing by gives the dimensionless coefficient ; substituting gives .
On the period- torus, a Fourier frequency becomes on the period- torus. Since and the pressure multiplier in [F1] also depends only on frequency direction, the projected equation scales with the same factor . For the volume norm, change variables over a period cell: while , so the squared norm scales by and its square root by .
In the linear acoustic equations and , substitute , , , and . Dividing the first equation by gives ; dividing the second by gives . Since , the coefficient is .
