How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Conditional Langevin Green–Kubo and Einstein relation
Conditional one-dimensional prediction for the specified stationary inertial velocity Langevin model with constant mass, damping, temperature and additive noise. It does not assert the Einstein relation for nonlinear dynamics, arbitrary baths, general mechanical systems, or measured material coefficients.
Statement
Assume the adopted velocity bath Adopted inertial velocity Langevin bath on and the Axiom of Choice The Axiom of Choice. Let be the position coordinate in that model, and prepare in its specified stationary Gaussian law. For zero external force, define the stationary velocity covariance by Stationarity makes it independent of , and the model gives For a deterministic force applied at time , the linear response kernel is Here is defined by the exact mean-response formula for deterministic forcing from the stated zero-mean stationary preparation; its units are . The constant-force mobility below is a distinct steady-response coefficient. The diffusion coefficient defined by centered displacement variance satisfies the Green–Kubo identity More precisely, . The constant-force mobility for constant . Hence . The centered displacement divided by converges in distribution to . These are conditional model deductions, not observed transport data or a universal law for arbitrary systems.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The adopted one-dimensional Langevin equation and stationary preparation, Choice, and the exact mathematical OU velocity-response theorem.
Adopted inertial velocity Langevin bath: is in kilograms, in kelvins, in joules per kelvin, in seconds, , and the stationary initial velocity has variance .
The Axiom of Choice: every family of nonempty sets has a choice function, as required by the Brownian and Itô suppliers.
Exact OU velocity response, diffusion and Gaussian scaling: under and , the OU covariance is , the integrated displacement variance has limit , and the constant-input response coefficient is .
Proof
Given: [A1]–[A2] and [F1].
Substituting from [A1] into the stationary variance gives . Its units are , the square of a velocity.
Apply [F1] with and input . Its covariance and response formulas give and . Since , the claimed equilibrium response relation follows.
The same substitution in the displacement-variance limit of [F1] gives . The covariance in the Statement gives , the Green–Kubo identity for this model. Its constant-input response gives , so . The unit of is , and multiplication by in joules gives .
The centered-displacement distributional limit in [F1] gives . Every conclusion is conditional on [A1]; no observed value or empirical certainty is inferred.
