How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Quantum phase-estimation spectral sampler
Definition
Inputs. An instance of Eigenvalue-estimation access and aliasing convention, a phase-register size with , and an input system register already prepared in the normalized state declared by the access instance. The caller invokes and charges for that preparation; this procedure does not prepare the system again. The access instance fixes the phase encoding and decoder.
Instructions. Initialize the phase register to . Apply the coherent QPE gate list through the inverse QFT from Quantum phase estimation to this prepared system, using the supplied controlled powers for , or synthesize each required power from the declared controlled- interface. Perform its specified computational-basis Lüders measurement once on the phase register and record . Return as a circular phase sample and apply the specified decoder to return an eigenvalue estimate when the injective encoding promise holds. If and , use the principal representative in and output .
The phase register, controlled powers, gates, decoder arithmetic, measurement, and output costs follow the access record. In particular, with only a controlled- oracle, implementing the binary powers uses controlled- calls.
Remarks
This definition asserts no error probability. The exact mixture law, accuracy, and resource guarantees are established separately by the spectral-law, additive spectral-estimation, and matrix-function error-cost theorem carriers.

Dependency tree · two levels
55 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
